FAG angular contact ball bearing overview

The types of bearings vary and their functions are different. Some friends are not very familiar with FAG angular contact ball bearings, so let's briefly explain these products.
Single row angular contact ball bearings are self-retaining units with solid inner and outer rings, as well as ball and nylon, steel or brass cage assemblies. The inner and outer ring raceways are offset from each other in the axial direction of the bearing. Available in open and sealed bearings. Their self-aligning ability is small.
Many sizes of angular contact ball bearings are designed by X-life. These bearings are shown in the dimension table. X-life quality FAG bearings have an improved raceway shape and optimized surface. This results in a significant increase in the fatigue limit load of the bearing. In the revised service life calculation, the life value has increased by more than 50%. Therefore, in certain applications, smaller bearings can be used if necessary.
Double row angular contact ball FAG bearings are units consisting of a solid inner and outer ring, and a ball and a cage made of polyamide, stamped steel, or brass. They are structurally similar to a pair of O-arranged single row angular contact ball bearings, but are more compact. They have different sizes of contact angles and bearing ring designs.
The bearings can be open and sealed. Due to the production technology used, the open bearing outer ring has a cutting groove for the seal or dust cover. Sealed bearings require no maintenance and are particularly suitable for economical bearing applications. The angular self-aligning range of angular contact ball bearings is small.
